Dr. Lakeyetta Reed

Board Chairperson

Dr. Lakeyetta Reed, is a clinical psychologist, who believes in effectively using one’s gifts and talents to serve others. Following family experiences and interactions with those in her community, she was inspired to pursue a career in psychology, after observing the negative stigma that persists for some despite the growing awareness and acceptance of mental health support. She is committed to providing a safe space for members of her community to process their thoughts and emotions.

Aiyana Belguda

Board Co-chairperson

Through her Special Education Leadership roles, Aiyana fulfills her calling to serve children and families who are often overlooked and sometimes deemed voiceless. She was inspired to pursue a career in education after her father, a school police officer, invited her to spend the summer working with the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools program. Her experiences that summer in 2001, providing literacy and cultural enrichment programs to youth in communities where academic enrichment was limited, sparked a lifelong journey of serving students in underserved communities.

This experience is one that prepared Jerrilyn to be the social worker she is today.
